Description

HT04 R1 Duct 4-Room Heat Transfer Kit Transfer Warm Air to Four Rooms

The Airflow HT04 R1 Duct 4-Room Heat Transfer Kit is designed to transfer excess warm air from one heated room to up to four other rooms in the home.

Ideal for homes heated by a wood burner, pellet fire or other concentrated heat source, the system takes warm air from the heated room and distributes it through insulated ducting to other areas of the home.

The HT04 uses a 200mm mixed-flow inline fan with R1.0 insulated flexible ducting to provide effective air transfer over the longer duct runs required for a four-room system.

Each room is supplied through a 150mm downjet ceiling diffuser, which directs the warm air down into the occupied area rather than allowing it to remain at ceiling level. Each diffuser also incorporates an adjustable damper, allowing the airflow to individual rooms to be balanced.

How the System Works

Warm air is drawn through the 250 x 250mm filtered intake grille positioned in the heated room.

The 200mm inline fan then moves the air through the insulated duct system, where Y branches divide the airflow between the four rooms.

A room thermostat controls when the system operates. Once the selected temperature is reached in the heated room, the thermostat activates the fan to begin transferring the excess warm air to the other rooms.

The thermostat provides on/off temperature control only and does not control fan speed.

R1.0 Insulated Ducting

The supplied flexible ducting has an R1.0 insulation rating, helping to reduce heat loss as the transferred air travels through the roof space.

Its reinforced flexible construction also makes it suitable for routing through residential ceiling spaces while providing additional acoustic insulation around the airflow path.

Filtered Intake Grille

The 250 x 250mm eggcrate intake grille includes a removable filter to help capture dust and debris before it enters the heat transfer system.

The filter can be removed for regular cleaning and maintenance.

Downjet Ceiling Diffusers

The four 150mm downjet diffusers direct transferred warm air downward into the room, helping move the air from ceiling level towards the occupied space.

Each diffuser includes an adjustable damper, allowing the airflow to each room to be balanced to suit the system layout and individual room requirements.

Important to Know

A heat transfer system moves existing warm air from one area of the home to another; it does not generate heat. System performance will depend on the available heat in the source room, duct layout, duct lengths and the characteristics of the rooms being supplied.

Electrical Safety

The fan and thermostat require electrical connection. Electrical wiring must be carried out by a suitably licensed electrician.
