LIMITATIONS Occasionally acrylic/water-based sealants develop cracks/slits/tears and pull away from the edge of substrates during the curing cycle.  Conditions during application and early stage of curing can contribute to the above. Acrylic sealant cures more effectively at temperatures above 8°C helping form a uniform skin/seal. Research suggests low temperatures or high humidity creates extra tension on the skin of the sealant which can produce the above application problems. If the sealant demonstrates any of the above we recommend reapplication following manufacturer’s instructions repairing the split, tear, cracking or delamination. Acrylic sealants should not be used where there is a likelihood of vibration, movement or seismic activity.
